  1. Hi-I talked to Greg Huff at ICAST in Orlando and he told me that Insight Genesis is now available for Macs. I was unable to connect or download and called Lowrance Tech and they told me that it will NOT work with a Mac. What is the truth? Ron Lutes

    • Hello Ron,

This is Greg Huff, with whom you spoke about Insight Genesis at ICAST.

Mac compatibility is now in beta-test mode for Insight Genesis premium account subscribers.

Here’s a link to a blog post that should help you use Insight Genesis on your Mac:

      https://insightgenesis.wordpress.com/2014/07/09/insight-genesis-is-now-mac-upload-compatible/

If, after reading the article, you are unable to use the new web-upload tool to upload your sonar logs with your Mac, don’t hesitate to email me back to request additional troubleshooting.

      Regards,

      Greg Huff

      • Hi-After exchanging many useful emails with Greg Huff, I was able to get my Mac to read the Insight Genesis files and it is wonderful, although I did spend too many hours on the computer last night looking at Social Maps and playing with it. HA HA! A BIG THANK YOU to Greg Huff for steering me in the right direction. Capt. Ron Lutes
